Turf USA’s Privacy Policy includes our original Privacy Policy (effective March 20, 2023) and the AI Product Assistant supplement below. The original policy continues to apply to the rest of the website. This supplement explains the additional data handling when you choose to use the AI chat.
AI Product Assistant
When you send a question to our AI Product Assistant, our website processes your question and up to four recent messages in that chat and sends them, along with Turf USA’s approved public reference information, to OpenAI’s API to generate a response. The assistant is for general questions about our public products, published brochure prices, installation, care, and purchasing. It does not access your customer account or order history.
Please do not enter your name, contact details, address, payment information, account or order details, or other private or confidential information in the chat. The assistant has a basic filter for some obvious private details, but it cannot reliably detect everything you type. The chat plugin does not intentionally save conversation transcripts in the WordPress database. Recent messages are held in your browser while the page is open so the assistant can follow the conversation. Our website hosting and security services may still process routine request data, such as your IP address, as described in the original policy. Requests to OpenAI set store: false; OpenAI may still retain API data for abuse monitoring and other purposes described in its API data controls.
AI answers can be mistaken. They are general information, not a final quote, confirmation of stock or delivery, or a site-specific installation plan. Please confirm decisions with Turf USA or a qualified installer where appropriate.
